Pre-flight Formalities

When passing pre-flight formalities, passengers must possess their identification document. If they are travelling with a child, they must show a handling agent his/her birth certificate as well.

Identification documents are the following:

• Valid passport or any other document that proves the passenger’s identity.
• Military ID (for conscripts and contract servicemen).
• Birth certificate (for passengers under the age of 14).
• For foreign nationals, stateless persons, and political refugees:
• National passport
• Certificate of stateless person
• Certificate of political refugee
• Residence permit

Foreign nationals as well as stateless persons travelling transit via the Russian Federation to a third country, must possess a Russian transit visa.
